About

Fawn Weaver is a serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of leadership experience and a proven record of building category-defining brands. She is the CEO of Grant Sidney, Inc., an investment holding company with interests across multiple industries and the largest shareholder of Uncle Nearest, Inc., which she founded and leads as CEO and owner. Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is the most awarded Bourbon and American Whiskey from 2019–2024 and the best-selling Black American-founded spirit brand in history.

Weaver also founded Nearest Green Distillery, home of Uncle Nearest, which ranks as the seventh most visited distillery in the world—out of nearly 4,000—and is recognized by Google, Yelp, and TripAdvisor as the fastest-growing and highest-rated distillery globally.

In 2025, Weaver was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame, joining a select group of leaders recognized for shaping the future of marketing worldwide. She is also the first Black American woman in U.S. history to build and lead a consumer packaged goods company valued at $1 billion or more.

In 2024, Weaver made history as the first African American CEO to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and as the first African American female civilian to receive the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Patriot Award. She also serves on the board of the National Medal of Honor Museum.

A TED speaker and two-time New York Times best-selling author, Weaver is a Harvard-certified corporate director, a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama, and is pursuing her Master of Finance at Harvard Business School.
